She also served as president of the National Council of Negro Women for more than 40 years. She deserves to be honored! She is one of the first freedom and civil rights fighters who had to sacrifice so much to bring awareness about social inequality and racism. She risked everything for us!
The US Postal Service’s Black Heritage stamp series previously honored Harriet Tubman and paid tribute to many black leaders and famous black people, who changed the history of Black Americans so that we could never forget what they have done for us to have a better future.
