The Police Department in my small town is using Facebook to publicly shame everyone they arrested for drug-related offenses in the last few months. They’re grouping teenagers arrested for having a bit of weed with narcotics dealers. It’s not right.
Pretty sure naming and shaming people before trial is a massive civil rights violation, and naming them AFTER a court case could be construed as harassment or libel.
