It's a Cold Cold World!

Epic fail!!

I asked the Super’s nephew (also cute) to install my new AC for me.  Well, turns out the guards in the windows, put there to keep a child from falling to sidewalk below, were installed with screws that have special heads (they only screw-in, you cannot extract them with a regular screwdriver or bit). 

I told the young lad that I would pay him $20 to help me install the AC.  He is going to try and find a solution by tomorrow afternoon. 

I am burning up!!! It is hot and humid in the city tonight!

Today, a friend paid-it-forward and purchased an AC for me. 

I am so grateful!!!

I had to humble myself and put it out there that I needed assistance.  My friend Brian responded and offered to take me AC shopping.  He even went as far as to purchase and extended warranty on the AC and paid for my cab ride home.

I asked why he was doing this.  He told me just a few years ago he was out of work and a generous fellow did the same for him. 

Good karma begets good karma. 

I will be mindful from now on of opportunities to pay-it-forward.
