So… it appears that Luna Poussey, my 3 month old kitten, has the gene that would allow her to have a reaction, a ‘high’ more or less, to catnip.
Catnip was included with the scratch-board I purchased for her. I had forgotten all about it because I don’t think I noticed a reaction from her when I first brought her home in early September and rubbed the catnip on the board.
Well, earlier this month, trying to get her to use the board more often rather than my furniture, shoes, and/or briefcase, I rubbed catnip on the board. She watched me and as cats will do went to inspect after I walked away.
#OMG She went wild… clawing at the board; sniffing as much as she could; leaping; running back or forth; rolling (Yeah no kidding!); I grabbed my camera… This lasted just for a few minutes and she ended on the futon like this…
Well… OK… I’m a little bit jealous. I know what happens if I get high… Bad things happen to me… Bad things may happen to other people because of me if I get high. Miss Luna, got loaded and will not lose her home, will still have food, have someone to love her (me), and her toys will be right where she left them.
Hmph!! If I get high, I may very well lose my job, lose my home, have to beg for food, lose my friends and family, I could lose my life. If I get high, I won’t come home to Luna to feed her… and I don’t want to lose my little girl.
Papa will still give you catnip, but just know that is the only thing I hate about you. LOL.
