Like I stated in the sidebar of this blog,  I am no expert on recovery.  So, I am using this post to refer you to some resources. If you, or someone you care about, wants to get help. Or you are looking for information on the disease of addiction, please see the following;

Something Must Be Up...

I don’t know what it is that is bothering me.  My APT is all cluttered.  I haven’t been making my bed in the morning, and, today, I forgot that I was meet my sponsor.  What is going on?

Am I Hungry?  I haven’t been eating well lately.  I haven’t been starting out my day with a good breakfast.  Mostly having take-out for lunch and there have been days that I have skipped lunch.  I’ve been eating out for dinner as well.

Am I Angry?  I am angry with myself because I haven’t settled into my new APT.  The place is an absolute mess right now.  I cleaned the kitchen today though. I am also dead broke.

Am I Lonely?  I’ve been feeling a bit lonely.  I go through major bouts of loneliness all the time.  I never liked being single. For me, not being in a relationship is the tap cause of my feeling lonely. 

Am I Tired?  My mind races when I place my head on my pillow.  The time is around 4:00am when check it last before falling asleep.  I am a awaken by my alarm at 6:00am then snooze for 2 hours or more.

SOLUTIONS

Start having a healthy breakfast to start the day.  Stop eating out so much and save some money.  Clear the clutter at home and maybe that will help clear the clutter in the mind.  One day at a time, I can get everythng cleaned up and be settled-in. 

If lonely, start taking walks to explore the neighborhood.  Call people more often.  There are also free or cheap event in and around the city.

Take a suggestion and try meditation to also help clear the clutter in the mind and help unwind to get a good night’s sleep.
